Thank you for helping to make The Community Foundation of Boulder County’s Culture of Giving campaign a success. The number of donations that came in from envelopes inserted in the Camera was up from last year, as was the total amount of money received via the envelopes. Your financial gifts will go toward assisting more than 500 nonprofit organizations that serve Boulder County.
“People really rely on the newspaper drop as an expected vehicle for their envelope,” said Gretchen Minekime, director of advancement at The Community Foundation.
The donations have made a big difference for our community, and all of us at the Camera are thrilled to have played a part in that success – from our continued sponsorship of the Culture of Giving to the personal contributions of our employees.
From a business perspective, we’re also delighted that so many of our readers value the Camera’s inserts. In a recent national survey commissioned by the Newspaper Association of America, 73 percent of adults said they regularly or occasionally read newspaper inserts. In our market, 123,500 Boulder-Broomfield adults have read fliers in the paper in the past month, and 95,800 have done so in the past week.
