On August 11, 756 riders participated in the second annual B Strong Ride. In addition to raising money for Boulder Community Hospital’s cancer care services, the George Karl Foundation and the Lance Armstrong Foundation (LIVESTRONG), it was a celebration of cancer survivors and a tribute to the doctors, caregivers, family and friends that rally around cancer patients. It was also a celebration of cycling, featuring a fully supported 69-mile mountain ride, a 24-mile countryside loop and a short course for younger cyclists.
B Strong was an across-the-board success, and the Camera was proud to be a sponsor.
“I wanted to pass along a heartfelt thanks for sponsoring the B Strong Event this year,” wrote organizer Mark Kranjcec. “Last year, we turned heads when we launched an inaugural event that became LIVESTRONG’s top fundraiser for the year. Through hard work, resourcefulness and amazing promotion (namely, the Camera), we topped ourselves this year and raised over $350,000 for Boulder Community Hospital and other charities.
“Again, many thanks …. We would not be able to make this kind of impact without the Camera’s support.”
