Have fun while raising money for stroke survivors Saturday

On average, a stroke occurs every 40 seconds, and someone dies of a stroke every four minutes. It’s the third leading cause of death behind heart disease and cancer.

This Saturday, help the Boulder Community Hospital (BCH) Auxiliary raise money for the hospital’s stroke survivor rehabilitation programs at its 29th  annual Holiday Fashion Show & Luncheon at the Omni Interlocken Resort in Broomfield.

It’s going to be a great time for a great cause, with a silent auction, fashion show, lunch and raffle. Doors open at 10:30 a.m. for the silent auction, followed by lunch and the fashion show at 11:45 a.m. Call 303.440.2066 or e-mail info@ bchauxiliary.org for tickets.

The raffle drawing will be held at the event at 12:30 p.m., but you don’t need to be present to win. Tickets are on sale now at the gift shops at BCH and Foothills Hospital ($5 each, 3 for $10 or 10 for $30). This is one raffle you don’t want to miss; the grand prize is a Hearts on Fire diamond circle pendant valued at $2,700, donated by Walters & Hogsett Fine Jewelers. Other prizes include items worth hundreds of dollars from Buffalo Lock & Key, James TravelPOINTS, Omni Interlocken Resort, Sturtz & Copeland and JJ Wells.

The Camera is proud to sponsor Boulder Community Hospital and the Auxiliary, as well as 120 other hard-working local nonprofit organizations with our time, talent and more than $2 million of support.
