We’re not as tuned-in as we used to be.

Or perhaps it’s more accurate to say that the way we tune in has changed dramatically in recent years thanks to the availability of digital and mobile entertainment. I like kicking back in front of my favorite shows as much as the next person, perhaps even more, but the numbers aren’t great for television viewership.

The most recent November sweeps ratings, tallied October 31 through November 27, show a decline in people using television – down about 12 percent during primetime and 14 percent for local 10 p.m. newscasts. Meanwhile, online and mobile viewership continues to skyrocket.

The Daily Camera and our family of products are trusted local news sources, delivering 11 million display and mobile impressions monthly in addition to our 1.1 million weekly print impressions. Our portfolio of offerings also includes social marketing, search engine optimization and marketing, and e-mail marketing.
